A Rope is special device used for capturing any other players at any time. You simply hold left-click while the target is in range and complete the progress bar to capture your target. Once captured, you can drag them anywhere and place them inside cages or execution equipment. Yours to decide.
The only way to obtain a Rope is to craft one at any time using at least a Work Bench station or one of its upgraded variants.

A Rope is useful for suppressing players and forcefully relocating them to a place of your choosing, be it the gallows, your cage-infested dungeon or wherever you see fit.
Getting damaged while trying to capture a player will reset the progress bar, as will the target leaving the capturing range at any time.
The use of Ropes themselves, do not cause any direct damage to a player, only renders them immobilized until they escape or are released.
It takes 6 uninterrupted seconds to capture a player. It takes only 1 second to capture them if you capture them from behind, however.
The rope is the best way to subdue heavily armoured players. If you are quick enough you can circle around them, then drag them away.
Too much distance or strange collisions with objects can break the rope's bond and the player will be free. A player under Rope bonds can escape with a Sharp Rock or Lockpick in their Orifice slot.
